Remelting does the impossible
Modern production processes increasingly call for complex working material properties. Through specific remelting of your components' constituent materials we can improve the service life of your machines and significantly increase the wear resistance of your components.
Tools for the processing of plastics have to stand up to extreme working temperatures and abrasion conditions. They are exposed to great stress through huge changes in temperature under maximum mechanical strain. In the automotive industry, for example, aluminium has to match the wear-resistant properties of steel. We can offer efficient solutions to such complex demands through precisely targeted combination of properties of the component material with properties of the applied filler materials. Using a laser beam, we remelt the base material and add a custom configured filler material to it. The complete and uniform intermixing creates a material microstructure with a modified alloy composition. After cooling, the component now has the required new properties.
