We configure the thickness of the plating precisely to your specific application. Protective chromium coatings are just a few microns thick, but in the case of repairs the plating may have a thickness of several tenths of a millimetre. To ensure the absolute precision of size and shape of your components, we first give them a thicker layer of hard chromium than required, and then grind and polish them down to the exact specification. The hardness of the coating, > 60 HRC, guarantees long machine service life.
